Kevin de Vries on the Remix of Louisiana

So, some exciting news a new remix has landed last week and I am super excited to hear this as I am a fan of Kevin de Vries work and has done some amazing tracks such as Phoenix.

This time he has taken the amazing collaboration from Kölsch and Dubfire “Lousiana” and given it the remix treatment and had some amazing results.  In which the track goes in hard and some sub level deep bass, hits loud and has that I would now say famous Kevin “double” beat sounds (for example at 1:46-1:48) if you know what I mean.  This was purchased as it is an outstanding remix that needs to be in the collection for sure.

Also, for those eagle-eyed of you, you might have noticed that we might have had a sneak peak of this remix was on its way as it was on the Kompakt website but linked to the non-remix version when ULM come out and was quickly taken down :-p so when it was released, I was very happy and wasn’t a typo.

Coming to the UK – Summer 2021 – Creamfields South

So my gamble paid off of getting tickets to Creamfields South in the UK this summer.  As Kölsch is playing on Friday 3rd June 2022.  Which is also is the Queens platinum jubilee for 70 years on the throne and as a result we are getting a 4-day bank holiday for partying and celebrations.  Two of which will be raving it up at Creamfields South.

I am so looking forward to this as I got to experience my first Creamfields last year up in Daresbury, Cheshire in the North West of England however this time there running two Creamfields festivals one in the North of the UK (Classic Creamfields) and a brand new Creamfields South down in my neck of the woods where I live in Essex.  I can’t wait the line-up looks amazing however if I am honest, I think I will be spending two days mainly in the Steel Yard but that OK with me.

Other tour news

Teasing Edit

This was a teasing tweet of a remix / edit by Kölsch and would be amazing for a release as it got that heavy club bass and vibe that I into massively at the moment.  I hope with this track I get to hear live, if possible, I think it would tear up the place when that track drops.

As we don’t have the remix to share here the links to the original versions both amazing tracks.

At Last...

At last, my signed vinyl copy of Pete Tong’s Ibiza and Friends has arrived with not one but two Kölsch collaborations with Pete and Friends

Classic rewind from the back catalogue

So, with my adventures on to completing my back catalogue I did the dangerous thing and had a search on dislogs and come across and test pressing of Rune – Calabria and I thought you know what it’s another level this track and I don’t have on vinyl and what better buy and copy to own then the “test pressing” version.  So purchased made (still waiting on being shipped – fingers crossed) and then finally I will a have the “original” and I think the best version and there are many, many versions.

However, I do also own a copy of Alex Gaudino feat. Crystal Waters – Destination Calabria (for the fun time fixes and house parties).

Also, I spotted a copy of the Fabric Presents… Kolsch Album on CD and made the purchase as I think I am going to start to frame the CD versions now.  As makes some amazing art work for the man cave studio.  Also, another excuse to rewind that album while writing this blog (not wonder it takes me so long sometimes… Sorry.

Anyway it’s a good start to 2022 and things are starting to open up again, so we can have a positive vision for 2022 – Stay safe!
