New Music from Diplo - MMXX - XII (Kölsch Remix)
So early this morning I see a new post on the Kölsch Fans Facebook page to news of a new Kölsch remix of Diplo’s XII track from the new ambient album MMXX. This is a great track with it’s very haunting vocals and classic Kölsch drums, bass and inspiring touches. Check it out below in the links. I will be listening to the new Diplo album in full for sure now and perfect for the NYE after party.
Kölsch & Beacon Pause "LIVE"
Nice surprise this to have LIVE version of Pause. An amazing melodic tune to be added to the after party NYE sound track playlist and the playlist is filling up fast with some great inspired Kölsch tracks.
Maybe a “after party” style album might be on the cards? This would be a perfect version for that type of album.

Instragram Short LIVE Videos
Another nice surprise during the Christmas period. Some Instagram LIVEs of some NEW Music great to see the master at work and some great tracks I hope to hear again at NYE (fingers crossed). However you have to be quick to catch it LIVE. Would LOVE to see this type of thing all the time. Like a scheduled production / demo show but for a couple of hours or so. I do follow people like Rex the Dog on Twitch.

Mixmag Magazine
So I was doing some eBay shopping and I always do a quick search for Kölsch on there in case I see something a bit different or rare (not sure what) but you never know. Well I come across a old June 2017 paper version of Mixmag that I haven’t read before and it was the Kölsch presents the Ibiza issue so one bid later it was won and in my hands and was a excellent read and well worth adding to my collection.
I have scanned a copy of the Kölsch interview to PDF and is below for a download (just of the interview part) if you want to read. It not small in size as I wanted to make it readable. Also the SoundCloud link to the Cover CD of that edition.
The DJ Game (Underground Edition)
So for a bit of Christmas fun we played “The DJ Game” which is basically a game of “Top Trumps” but with DJs where you compare different DJ attributes and see who has the highest “stats” such as DJ Box Dance Moves, After Party Powers & Hair Game. (I think it should of been Hats!) as it would have been 100! It all a bit of fun and doesn’t take itself seriously was fun reading all the little bio’s of all the DJs as well. Worth the few quid it cost and does support a great charity as well.

Christmas Present
So another eBay find (only £9 inc P&P) was this little USB powered portable turntable which is perfect for me now traveling to little record shops and charity shops that don’t have listening posts and with having this I can listen before I purchase. Linked with my portable phone charger I am way just have to remember the headphones now. Lets see what new year bargains I can find!
