NYE Party and BBC Radio 1 Mix

Tomorrowland NYE 2020 -> 2021

Kölsch B2B Joris Voorn on the Atmosphere Stage at Tomorrowland.

So the new year is 2021 in the UK where I joined the amazing set at 1:05am watched all the way thought until the end.

Starting of I can say the visuals of the Tomorrowland was excellent both on a large TV display and my mobile phone.  I did enjoy the additional sound effects of the crowd cheering and the fireworks going off when the beat dropped.  I liked it and think it did add to the show however I could see if some people didn’t like it.  Maybe in future sets maybe you could have the option to turn on and off things like crowd noise and fireworks?

So during listening of the epic party I created a sort of Track Listing -
sorry best I could do with hour:mins:seconds for each new track.

00:00 -> Kölsch Track – Fandango

04:30 -> Unknown Track – Vocal Track

07:30 -> Diplo Track – MMXX – XII (Kölsch Remix)

13:00 -> Unknown Track – Trance Style Track

16:25 -> Unknown Track – Sampling “Only Love can break your Heart” best known by the group Saint Etienne.

20:00 -> Unknown Track – Favourite track of the whole set! Banging Track (The visuals at this time are amazing as well lights in time to the beat.)

24:20 -> Unknown Track – Retro Acid Feel with Vocals (Can’t not be the end?)

28:20 -> Unknown Track – Banging Vocal Track (How can you be alone if you have yourself? / You are not alone) – Great track

31:40 -> Unknown Track -> This track is often played by Kölsch and is a banging track would love for this to be released.  One of the tracks of the set!

34:40 -> Unknown Track -> Haunting sounding track.

39:00 -> Douglas Greed, Old Beholder & Kölsch -> Numbers (Kölsch Remix) = Tune!

43:30 -> Unknown Track -> Deep Techno Track (Feels very 1996 and very much approve!)

46:30 -> Unknown Track -> Remix of the track at 31:40 or similar? Either way banging track like this very much.

50:30 -> Unknown Track -> Uplifting Track with some vocals – Liking this track.

54:40 -> Unknown Track -> Sampling “This is the rhythm of the night” excellent remix of the original.  One of the tunes of the whole set!

57:30 -> Unknown Track -> Melodic samples over the top of a hard beat. Remembers of summer days and early 16 Bit sounds. Tune!

1:01:25 -> Unknown Track -> Vocal Track

1:05:10 -> Unknown Track -> Great Track one of the best of the night (maybe even number 2 on my list!)

1:10:00 -> Kölsch Track -> GoldFisch (Remix?) – Amazing Track one of my favourite Kölsch tracks of ALL time!  – Maybe a re-release as a remix?

1:14:20 –> Unknown Track -> Great Trance Feeling Track (Works with the fireworks!)

1:19:05 -> Kölsch Track -> Remind You

1:21:40 -> Kölsch Track –> Shoulder of Giants (Joris Voorn Remix)

1:25:15 -> Unknown Track -> Sampling Massive Attacks “Teardrop” with a retro computer sounding backdrop.

1:28:00 -> Unknown Track -> Deep bass track

1:32:00 -> Kölsch Track -> Now Here No Where (Finishing Track)

Great set of tracks from both DJ’s

and I have done over 5 replays so far before time is up with my replay ticket.  It’s a shame you can’t purchase the sets forever.

If you did get to watch it I hope you all enjoyed the set as much as I did as an excellent NYE party with Tomorrowland I hope that DJ’s and events will continue to maybe have a mixture of Live and Virtual Events in the future as it allows us to get to almost experience the club vibe without being there (as we can’t always make it to clubs).  I know virtual events are not perfect, but I think it helping bridge the gap.

For the eagle-eyed fans Kölsch is wearing the “head in the clouds” T-Shirt.

I would strongly recommend purchasing the reply ticket if you didn’t get a chance to hear this amazing set of tracks.

Some screenshots of the event as well below.

New Kölsch mix on BBC Radio 1 / 1Xtra / Dance on the Diplo and Friends Show.

Amazing mix set and very different and well worth a listen also includes the new Kölsch remix by Diplo, No Here No Where and well as 2x new tracks Kölsch & La Lune – Cancel Culture (Demo) & Copenhill.
