Rainbows in the Sky

So, we travelled down to London on one of the hottest days of the year to the new silverworks island in the docklands area of London. It was easy really and was able to be seen as we crossed the river Thames which brought a much needed breeze for sure. We headed into the venue, had a good walk around with some much needed ice lollies then headed to the dance area for what I would say was the main event 😊 Kölsch & Kevin de Vries back-to-back and was my first time seeing Kevin and a back-to-back set.

The tracks played where great and some quality tracks and we great to hear “Picasso” live and loud as well some other amazing tracks (in which someone helpfully below has listed some of the tracks played)

I think one of the greatest moments was the double rainbow in the sky, as we had some much-needed cooling rain to the sounds of “all that matters”. It was great to share that experience with my eldest son who joined me for his first outdoor dance music show and first time seeing Kölsch as well and hopefully not the last as we are aiming to head to Fabric in September as well.

What a crazy mind-bending video, somehow is hard to watch but you want to keep watching it to see what happens. Madness and suits the track somewhat. So cool to see a video with a release, I do like the extra touch.

BBC Radio 1 - Hot Mix with Pete Tong - Scorchio

This mix is based on the recent visit to indeed a scorchio London for Silverworks this is a fitting mix. With two outstanding new never heard before tracks for me in this mix are “Watergate” demo by Kölsch. This track is amazing and so recognisable as soon as you hear it, I am a big fan of this.

This was a quality track and I seriously hope it gets a release again. At first listen I was hooked with this track.

However, I think “Shadows” is going to be that track that is going to be a huge of a track and will grow and grow as you hear it more and more.

Also, there is always a special place in my heart for Scorchio – By Sasha & Emerson as was the first track I ever played on my radio show back in the day. It was also great to hear a new remix which was the Trance Wax Remix.

However, we do get things going with Picasso and into my favourite new demo “Watergate” hoping this gets a release. There is also “waste my time” with Camelphat and again the “Shadows” demo (huge growing track) also Benny Benassi feat. The Biz – Satisfaction (unknown remix) – also heard at Silverworks and closing off with Der Alte X Hell To The Liars by Kölsch & London Grammar. Well worth and listen also I will checking out RTE2FM a lot more there seems to be some great shows on there.

What a great summer so far and excited for what to come in the rest of 2026, including new music and sets.

As always keep safe and keep raving (and don’t be that jerk just there for the social media post, or to say I been there with no idea of the music or the scene, to just show off what you have brought with your money and carrying shopping bags and brands, to say I only do VIP, push to the front for no reason, don’t be that sheep) go there have FUN, live the spirit, embrace the music and people you meet that have a likeminded view of music and experience, dance forward and bring people with you, capture the moment yes, but don’t live though the lens, keep light hearted and enjoy. If you are lucky enough to get the chance to be upgraded, don’t grow an ego and never lose sight of dancing that keeps you young.
