Sound of the Summer

New music incoming

I am told from a very good source that next on the release train is Kölsch – Picasso – and super exciting to hear some new music for the summer.

You can listen to the track on the first-rate Tomorrowland Friendship Mix 2026 along with other new tracks and some quality new album tracks.

Tracklisting 1001

New tracks / unleased music – for me from the friendship mix are:

  •         Kölsch – Ode To SHM (Swedish House Mafia) – Heaven has a plan for you sample used very well over a very electronic spiritual sound, feels more relaxed and a journey track and not just a heavy noise.  I think this is a great track and well created, perfect for a start of a set. (Shame I think this is the type of track that will never get released)
  •         Pete Tong & Kölsch – Nature of Daylight – I haven’t heard this before, and has that orchestra feel that is very much the vibe with Pete’s and some of Kölsch’s new musical direction, so this collaboration is very fitting and has been made into a very good track, I would hope to see this one being released as part of a new orchestra album maybe?
  •         Kölsch & Troels Abrahamsen – All of Me – Feels like the follow up to the legendary – All that matters track and this is definitely capturing that spirit in this new track.  Feels like a “hands in the air” style track.
  •         Kölsch – Smalltown Echoes – We had a first hearing of this back in November 2025 on the Essential mix – this is a good track and back to the harder style of Kölsch with a very distinct “woosss” sound much like old school signature Kölsch tracks.
  •         Kölsch – Speicher – This is a real blended track, so many styles over laid, this has its own style that is hard to describe, but this not a negative, I almost want to say it has an early 2000’s “trance” vibe.  I think a few listens to this track will end up making it one of my favourite tracks much like “get lost” I wasn’t sure at first, now I think it my favourite track of the new released album.
  •         Kölsch – Picasso – This track takes the energy up another level and for me has the vibe and style of 90ASES. I am liking this style more and more as vocals break up the sound. I feel as I get older, vocals do add a new dimension to tracks.

Also, the closing track is so good, Kölsch really knows how to create a closing set track for sure and this is no exemption with Alphaville – Forever Young (Kölsch Edit)

If you missed the first Tomorrowland Friendship Mix back in 2020 here you go some real highlights back when the album “Now Here No Where” was due to be released.

Incoming UK visits

Anyma presents Æden on Saturday 27th June 2026 at the new Silverworks London (SOLD OUT).  However, I am hopefully going to be going along and to experience a legendry B2B of Kölsch & Kevin De Vries. I can’t wait to see my first Kölsch B2B set. I’m also looking forward to seeing Anyma, along with Chris Avantgarde and Layla, Kas:st and Hana as I will be there from beginning to the end hopefully.  The new venue at Silverworks looks incredible and I think will be one hell of an experience.

Until then I found an “OK” recording of Kölsch’s set from Anyma presents Æden in Shanghai in May 2026

Take a listen, there are some great tracks in there to enjoy while we prepare for London.

Fabric

Also, another visit to Fabric in September is hopefully planned to see Kölsch again, which I am looking forward to and as a huge fan of the club there is an amazing atmosphere and sound system.  In which I have been visiting to see some amazing DJs over the last few months.  Highly recommended.

Family Love

Finally, a big shout out to my family in which one of my epic Father’s Day presents was the new vinyl copy of the exceptional Rex the Dog track “Far Out” based on the classic 1991 track. Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Era.

Well, we are well into the summer and looking forward to the long nights and warm weather, enjoying the new releases and crazy nights of dancing.

Keep safe and keep raving

John
