Happy 2nd Birthday, New & Old Music & The Beams

So here we are year 2 of the Kölschfan.site website. I am so happy that we are still going and there is so much great stuff to share with fans around the world.

We are now also nearly on the first search results pages of nearly every search engine for the term “DJ Kölsch” that is amazing thank you for all the clicks, shares and likes.

So, on the eve of the website 2^nd birthday, we get some great news in a tweet

“MIND DIMENSION REMIX IS HAPPENING!!!!!!”

What can I say this is an amazing track on one of the best for 2022. This would be amazing to get hold of a copy of this to playout loud. As always, I am a huge vinyl fan so will always wish for vinyl releases. Not matter what it is on the Wishlist. I was super lucky and had a chance to hear this being played out at Creamfields South 22 this year and with no exception it took the roof off the place when this dropped. Banging! Then rolled into HAL as well another track of epic levels.

So much so I have booked for Creamfields South 2023 – Fingers crossed that Kölsch is on the line up yet again!

Then before that amazing news was released is the news that of the Kölsch remix of “Kevin De Vries – Dance with me” is hopefully coming out as well (possibly on Afterlife records). Another banging track with a real techno edge to it, again worthy of anyone’s collection. I am a big fan of Kevin’s work and has an excellent back catalogue. You should check it out if you haven’t already done so.

For me it doesn’t get better then this as an outstanding classic track!

Tomorrowland 3x Weekends of Amazing Shows & Music

How lucky has it been to be able to experience 3x weekends of watching LIVE and Replay sets from Tomorrowland. I watch them all LIVE and on replay as well. It excellent to watch and exciting to hear some many ID tracks in there as well as classic and all-time favourites as well.

I noticed the new “blue” hat I wonder if it UV? Also the 1977 t-shirt I wonder when the new range of merch is dropping, hopefully soon.

Also, we have Weekend 1 up on YouTube as well for us to enjoy over and over again. Fingers crossed they also upload Weekend’s 2 & 3.

Also, what I like to do once I have watched or experienced an amazing set is to try and find out what the tracks played are and headover to tracklist1001.

and have a search which I love as it often takes me down a rabbit hole of
discovering new music by a DJ or producer then diving in to back catalogues of
tracks.

For example, it lists from Kölsch’s Awakenings Set 2022 a track called. “Gregor Schwellenbach ft. Infansonido – Oxia’s Domino on Kompakt records.”

Which reminded me of Michael Mayer’s “Speaker”

Which is an amazing track and so it goes on then I can lose hours finding “gems” of tracks and building playlists and purchasing to build my collection.

That leads me on to more “gems” of tracks, I managed to find with a friend and fellow DJ (Matt Alexander). We visited one of our local vinyl shops that has hundreds if not thousands of records some new and many old, it like a treasure chest of music in this shop.

And as luck should have it I stumbled across a classic Rune track after some search for a couple of hours.

My preferred mix is (Runes Acid Mix) it has that banging 303 sound and so happy to add to my back catalogue collection of “Rune” vinyl tracks I am slowly building up.

New venue (The Beams)

So, with the news of Printworks closing to make way for flats (sad face) as it is an amazing venue. The Printworks team are creating a new venue close by called “The beams”

In which there is going to be a day-into-night show of hypnotic techno, lead by Stephan Bodzin [live]. A hugely respected figure in the electronic music world; as a producer, a label boss, a DJ, and as a live performer.

With Kölsch and several amazing Techno DJ’s joining him.

So, my ticket is booked, and I can’t wait to experience the new venue and of course some amazing techno. Of course, I will share my thoughts of the event and try and grab some photos at the end of October 22. Also I am so happy as a day-to-night experince makes it so much easy to get to oh and if you see me there do come over and say hello!.
