New Music on IPSO – The long-awaited tracks.
So, first of the starting blocks is MASTERPLAN. This must be for me the longest known Kölsch track for me never to have a name and be in so many different sets, I have listened to over the years. This has been an iconic song to me and so glad I can play it in my sets.
The second track GATE is becoming yet another classic in sets. This is a worthy AA side release. I have heard this track now over a good few sets and is up there in terms of a banging tracks with amazing drops. A perfect track to add to my collection and quailty collaboration.
After hearing the “progress-report” on Pete Tong’s Hot mix “link below” the new music including Masterplan and Gate it is so exciting, and with new album coming soon 2023 is going to be amazing year!

Creamfields South 2023 – UK

WOW what an amazing 3 days Creamfields South UK was, therefore, I thought I would share a break down of what I experienced. Then feel free to let me know if you went and what you thoughts where of the event? Also sharing this, I thought might inspire people into going next year.
Highlights of Friday
Where at the main stage and hospitality arena chilling out and enjoying the whole set up, until Sosa and Solardo sets where on then I headed to the Runway stage, which was a different experience compared to the Steel yard. Looked amazing and sounded good. For me the Solardo set was the best of the night and of course what a classic closing track “Move your body” in which the original is definitely one of my all-time favourite tracks ever, pure class and this remix 100% captures the essence of the original.
Highlights of Saturday
More of the same to start of with in terms of chilling out at the main stage and hospitality arena. Then headed on to some amazing acts such as
Camelphat- Who dropped the new remix of Access by Joris Voorn – Epic track and an excellent take on the classic by DJ Misjah & DJ Tim
I ended night listening to Nina Kraviz in which it went off and the beats and bass didn’t stop and was stomping peak time techno. Perfect!

The Main Event & Highlights of Sunday
I headed to the stage about 1 hour before Kölsch was due on stage and I got to see Gorgon City playing and I have to say their set was amazing and I super enjoyed it.
So, once Gorgon City played I headed straight to the front of course and then to tunes started to drop.
The first track is my favourite Kölsch remix track – Flume (Take a Chance) but just the backbeat and had “Blood lines” vocals by Tomas Høffding over the top another quality track from the 1983 album. So glad to of ticked this of hearing it LIVE bucketlist.
There was amazing Tracks throughout – highlights being
- Tiga – Mind Dimension (Kölsch remix)
- Butch – Countach (Kölsch remix)
- Kölsch & Kevin De Vries – Masterplan
- Any many, many more
However, nothing compares to the fact Woohman was played in the set with some cheeky in the Jungle Fred. Again, style samples. For me the pinnacle highlight of the whole set!
Also, the last track of the set was just Mind-Blowing amazing, this is the same level of quality of a track like Woohman. This is my most anticipated track I am waiting for now as Masterplan has been released!

So, during the set I noticed that security was being really good and getting the crowd going and seemed they was loving it as much as the crowd, and was taking people mobile phones and filming us all dancing, so I did the same and here is my video of my dancing like a nutter “in me red hat” loving every moment, I don’t know where an hour and half went it felt like 5 mins.
*If you “pop” the video out it works better 🙂
However I have to say I think this is the “best” Kölsch set I have heard, watched, or experienced to date!
So, the next part after the set EPIC and can I say a HUGE THANK YOU! to Rune and his Tour Manager (Julia) for meeting me after for a selfie, CD signing (hope to frame and place up in the studio ASAP) and a chance to say hello! Much appreciated as a huge fan of “Kölsch” it means a lot!

So, after meeting up, I did grab a bite to eat then headed over to see Swedish House Mafia and I have to say I wasn’t that bothered to see them at first, however fair play their set was epic and did pull it out of the bag as the main stage closing set to Creamfields South 2023. Kudos to them for that! I was super impressed! My second favourite set of the long weekend!
Fingers crossed I hope to go again next year! Roll on 2024
10 Years ago – Since the release of Kölsch’s first album “1977”
So, it hard to believe it 10 Years ago (June) that the amazing album of “1977” was release and below I have tried the impossible of trying to rack my favourite songs in order from the album, I know many, many people will disagree hence why I haven’t ever tried before, however I listened to the album in full twice while updating the blog to see if I could do it. Here is my best effort!
- Goldfisch
- Bappedekkel
- Opa
- Zig
- Der Alte
- Loreley
- Oma
- Eiswinter
- Wasserschutz
- Felix
- Silberpfeil
- All that Matters
- Basshund
The thing is there isn’t a bad song on this album and often I am just in a trance and listening to the whole album and it blends the whole way though. Also, for me I think it just, I mean “just” tops as my favourite Kölsch album. However, after hearing some of the “progress-report” and tracks being played that could be in the 5th Studio album is going to be out of this WORLD and could take the top spot. Word has it from a good source :-p this will hopefully be at the end of the year! #fingerscrossed
Then even more silly of me I have tried to create my top 10 Kölsch to see if I could really pick my current top songs and no doubt this will change many, many times writing this.
