Classic Track Reimagined – Blueboy's "Remember Me" Gets a Kölsch Remix

In a thrilling comeback, Kölsch breathes new life into Blueboy’s 1997 classic, “Remember Me,” an iconic track that many fans of the late ’90s era still hold close to their hearts. I love the original of this track and strangely I remember being the first track being played on BBC Radio 1 back in 1997 after the essential mix* at 4am with Mary Ann Hobbs back in the day when you had to tape record your favourite shows.

*The first essential mix of 1997 which was Alex P and Brandon Block (still my favourite non-Kölsch) essential mix ever.  (What a great use of movie samples)

This remix is quality and does a brilliant job of giving it a 2024 refresh and bring back so great vocals.  One aspect I love in this remix is when there is that little pause and drop that bass.  (much like seen in my favourite remix track and well worth another share)

I love it when tracks do this.

*Also remember me got a play on the essential section with Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 – quality Pete knows a great track or 2!

Fideles Brings a Signature Sound to "Heartless" Remix

Fideles is back with a remix that reminds us why they’re known for their unique touch and consistently high-quality productions. This time, they take on the track “Heartless” and weave their signature sound into it seamlessly, turning it into something fresh yet unmistakably Fideles.

For fans of their past work, Fideles’ remixing approach here feels familiar but still brings new energy. The deep, emotive layers paired with their rhythmic build-ups create a perfect balance that keeps listeners engaged from start to finish. It’s a quality remix that honours the original but carries the distinct Fideles stamp—a skill that’s made them stand out as remixers and producers.

Here is an example of one of my favourite Fideles tracks that highlights why they are world class producers and remixers.

All Night Long with Kölsch

So, here are all the links to the latest Stu Brussels radio shows and a recording hosted here should the shows no longer be available so you can enjoy if you missed it first time round or want to relive the shows.

As I know that these only are online for so long I have taken a recording and have shared it here as well.

*Also, I need to be honest here, I missed the LIVE shows and had to listen to the recordings as I made a mistake on when some of these were going to be broadcasted, I had somehow noted down the 26th October and not the 17th for the all night long ☹ however I was able to listen again and here are what I think are the highlights of the show.

Highlights of the show

Hearing new demos & work in progress tracks and there were some great new tracks being shared, it is so special to hear these.

Lots of review of tracks that had a big impact on Rune’s life and why these tracks are important.  Some great tracks in there including a true favourite from the Streets.

There was talk of lots of new remixes of classic Kölsch tracks from the early days and getting his favourite DJs & Producers to make a one-off remix of their favourite track.  It will be exciting to see what will be created with a different spin on a classic or two.  I wonder if anyone will pick Woohman? Can anyone really improve the greatest Kölsch track of all time? Or will someone try and improve Grey – is that even possible? Not sure, let’s wait and see.

There was talk of a new spin on some classic Kölsch tracks with an orchestra the same as what was teased at Tomorrowland

(check it out here) this could be really special to see something like this LIVE.

There was discussion on Rune is working on a full movie soundtrack and is linked to a blockbuster sci-fi movie that sound super exciting and movie sound tracks are super important and being a sci-fi fan some of my favourite and most memories comes from movie music.

Here is an example of my favourite ever movie (Robocop) and the sound of the most amazing soundtrack.

What a track to set the mood of the movie

There were people winning tickets to the all night long party 😊 well done all the winners

Some had called in to say they had named there new born baby after Rune (Kölsch) and looking to get the baby a little Fedora hat after being huge fans.

Don’t forgot it’s Christmas soon and stuck for a gift for a Kölsch fan – check out the store

Also don’t forgot to also see where Kölsch is playing local to you, I would 100% recommend to see him LIVE it is a totally different experience to listening at home.  Also, if you ever see me at an event please come and say hello. 😊

I am hoping if all goes to plan to see Kölsch in London in December at KOKO if all goes to plan and of course to share photos and my experience and hopefully encourage you to get to a live set.

Until then keep safe and keep raving into the end of 2024 and beyond.
